Calif. high speed rail -- Out of Money

AP story.
California will have to halt work on its high-speed rail project if it does not get an infusion of cash soon from the state's frozen infrastructure fund, the project's executive director said Thursday.

Director Mehdi Morshed said the project is out of money and unable to pay its bills, despite voters' approval last November of a $9.9 billion bond measure to help fund the first leg of the 800-mile system. (emphasis mine)

Well, that's just great.
