It seems there's been a growing appreciation of street food over the past few years.
some examples:
* Chef Anthony Bourdain's "No Reservations" show on the travel channel is in its 5th season.
* In less than a year, the Kogi bbq truck, combining Korean and Mexican food, has taken Los Angeles, and just recently, New York City, by storm. Copycat trucks, including Chinese/Mexican, and Banh Mi sandwiches have followed suit.
* Chef Susan Feniger has recently opened Street in Los Angeles, with a selection of stret food fare from all over the world.
* And now a German kitchen and home fixtures company, has sponsored a museum exhibition Global Street Food, that looks at the archicture and design of street food. carts, boats, tables with umbrellas.
just a few examples..
