acoustic ecology update

Similar to the BBCs global Save our Sounds project that I blogged about last week, the most recent NPR's weekend edition interviewed two leaders of Open Sound New Orleans, a community project that helps citizens document the sounds of the city. The project is divided into three categories: ambient sound, voices and music. And it uses a Google Maps mashup as its starting screen.
The NPR story is here.
